Zurich, Switzerland – Cabanner and Braathens Regional Airlines today announce their partnership, signaling the beginning of a new kind of in-flight m-commerce for regional air travel.
As an early adopter of the Cabanner System, Braathens Regional Airlines is set to unlock new ancillary revenue streams, reduce the cost of in-flight advertising, and make further strides toward its sustainability goals. The collaboration brings Cabanner’s innovative platform into the skies on regular passenger routes, marking a significant milestone in both companies’ commitment to smarter, greener air travel.
The Cabanner System, which is patented and holds both FAA and EASA certifications, integrates display screens directly into aircraft seats. These smart surfaces deliver dynamic content, advertising, and destination-specific incentives to passengers, essentially transforming seat backs into digital billboards in the sky.
Cabanner Co-Founders Anthony Soo and Oladi Olukolu:
“This is about making the world a smaller and more accessible place by inspiring the next journey, regardless of the flight ticket price — and doing it all with a reduced carbon footprint.”
Braathens Regional Airlines COO Fredrik Matseng:
“We believe that the interactive nature of Cabanner’s system will bring added value and an enhanced experience for our passengers, and engagement throughout the flight.”
This partnership represents a bold step toward redefining how regional airlines connect with travelers — combining immersive technology, sustainable operations, and a fresh approach to passenger engagement.
